Spring doesn’t change many things over here. Sun and clouds come and go and I can’t tell a damn difference weather the birds sing more frequently or not like back home.
All we have is 566 different kinds of native “aves” in the area so far!
Not quite as many but apparently over 80 is the number of edible fruits in CCPA according to the employees. I’ve tasted about ten so far. The latest consumption was the natural “chicle”, Chewing gum which is not bad at all. The sweet yellow cherry-sized latex containing fruits were fun to pick from the two existing trees in the botanical garden.
The moon didn’t show up for about a fortnight in March which is not cool when the power goes out after dinner. Out and off, back to the future also went the most diligent soul of a volunteer –Anastasia. The devoted lady with a special sense of care said goodbye just two weeks after Derek. I miss your company baby!
